New developments in Crypto Asset regulations occur every day. Following the publication of our article on 23 December 2024, MASAK also shared legislations by the following three regulations and gave the sector a 1-month compliance period.

19.12.2024 tarih ve 32757 Sayılı Resmi Gazete’de yayımlanan 16.12.2024 tarih ve 75935942-050.01.04-[01/28123] numaralı Kamu Gözetimi, Muhasebe ve Denetim Standartları Kurulu kararı ile Büyük ve Orta Boy İşletmeler İçin Finansal Raporlama Standardı’nın (“Finansal Raporlama Standardı”) kripto varlıklara ilişkin değişiklikleri (“Değişiklik”) yayımlanmıştır.

The Capital Markets Board of Türkiye (CMB) has unveiled a significant regulatory framework for crypto asset trading platforms, setting the stage for a new era of compliance in Türkiye. Published in its bulletin dated 8 August 8 2024 (the Resolution), this new framework introduces stringent requirements for the establishment, ownership, management and capital adequacy of these platforms.
